10 Powerful Promises From God

Tonight my blog post is simple – it’s to encourage those who feel weary, possibly confused and in need of a friend. As I was reminded by my loving mother on the phone tonight, the best way to find peace and understanding is in the promises of God’s word. So this is what I want to share with you –  hoping it resonates with even one, as it resonated with me tonight.

So my friend, these are promises written and inspired by God for you and me. Believe them – because they are real and were given to you. Jesus loves you so so much. I’m praying that the strength of these words help us to live out the truths that He promised to us long ago and that still hold true today and will into eternity.

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

Matthew 11:28-29

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

Psalm 32:8

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.

Deuteronomy 39:6

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Isaiah 40:29-31

He gives power to the weak
and strength to the powerless.
Even youths will become weak and tired,
and young men will fall in exhaustion.
But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not faint.

Philippians 4:19

And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.

John 14:27

“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.

Romans 6:23

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.

1 John 1:9

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

Romans 8:37-39

No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Father, thank you for revealing your enormous love for us through the gift and death of your Son. Thank you for leaving us these promises to learn from and rest upon. May you seal them as an emblem on our hearts.

xx

  1. You really make it seem so easy with your presentation however I find this topic to be really something that I believe I might never understand. It seems too complex and very vast for me. I’m looking ahead on your next submit, I’ll try to get the grasp of it!

  2. I delight in, result in I discovered exactly what I was looking for. You’ve ended my 4 day lengthy hunt! God Bless you man. Have a nice day. Bye
